Ahmedabad: Drone Unit to Come Up at Dholera

Delhi based Garuda Aerospace plans to set up a drone manufacturing unit at the Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) in Gujarat, according to the company’s founder and CEO Agnishwar Jayaprakash.

The company has signed an agreement with Lockheed Martin Canada (LMC) to integrate its Made-In-India drones with Lockheed Martin Canada CDL Systems' advanced uncrewed aerial system (UAS) software solutions for defence and commercial purposes.

We will expand our drone manufacturing capabilities and invest upwards of Rs 50 crore to set up a plant in DSIR.

We are scouting for land and will finalize the nitty-gritty over the next two months.

These drones will be made using LMC’s navigation and analysis software,” Jayaprakash said
