The Ahmedabad-Dholera expressway, a key project initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is likely to be completed before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

1. Originally scheduled for January 2024, the project faced delays due to heavy rainfall in 2023, but construction has picked up pace recently.

2. The first phase, from Sanathal to Sindhrej, is expected to be completed by March 2024, with about 70% of the work done in some areas.

3. The expressway, divided into four packages, will have a top speed of 120 km per hour, two toll plazas, and refreshment spots.

4. Once completed, the expressway will significantly reduce travel time, allowing a 45-minute commute to Dholera and reducing the journey to Bhavnagar to 1.45 hours from the current 3 hours.
